Uncertainty is guaranteed in our lives. We can choose to fight that reality or be at peace with it. In this episode, we discuss our relationships with uncertainty, how that has shifted throughout our lives, and strategies for you to begin embracing uncertainty.
Anxiety around uncertainty is the fear of making the wrong choice in disguise. As humans, we have a profound ability that sets us apart from all other beings on this planet, the ability to forecast what may happen in our future. While this has helped us accomplish incredible things, it's also the primary source of our anxiety, fears, and worries. When we learn to let go of expectations and embrace the journey, the result begins to hold less weight on our decisions and way of life.
All of this comes with a foundation of basic trust. The trust that the universe is conspiring in your favor whether or not your current circumstances are painful or pleasant. What would your current circumstances be here to teach you if your life's purpose was to be here to learn? What might your soul need to experience here and now to grow spiritually? These questions can help us get curious about the present moment. Living in that place, we can drop expectations and make choices unattached to the result. The moments in our lives in hindsight that have created our experience thus far. Embrace them!
